Who we are
Train SA was founded by Dale Roberts, one of South Africa’s most progressive thought leaders. Dale studied Industrial Psychology, Philosophy, and Cognitive Science at the UKZN before moving to Johannesburg. While working in the B-BBEE industry for a decade, he has amassed a wide network of trusted industry players with a key focus on sustainable solutions and impact. Dale is passionate about solving challenges and has been an advocate for sustainable transformation in South Africa. To date, Dale has amassed a following base of over 18,000 followers on LinkedIn, consisting of mainly senior executives from South Africa’s biggest corporates.

Train SA was founded in 2019
as a bespoke sourcing consultancy in response to the needs of industry in South Africa. Through many consultative engagements with practitioners in HR, SFD, B-BBEE, Procurement, and Learning and Development it was understood that all these specialists had one thing in common: a limitation in a precious commodity called time.
The administrative burden of searching for training providers that have the relevant training, then ensuring that they have the appropriate accreditations. Negotiating quotes to meet the need that aligns with the budgets, while ensuring training aligns with legislative requirements such as B-BBEE, compliance ect., as well as ensuring best practice with up-to-date training methodology. Then having to repeat the process over and over again because of corporate policies is vastly time-consuming and non-value-adding.
We developed a solution that speaks to this challenge for companies in a way that can only work as a positive ROI with little to no risk base due to its fully transparent nature.
What we do

We also assist companies with Education on the financial and tax incentives available in the training space and how to maximize the points claimable under B-BBEE. Combining financial incentives and rebates can result in costs that realize a profit if your training is structured correctly.
Our assistance service is 100% free to you the client. We are paid by the training providers a referral commission for any successful training that is taken up by you the client, so you can see that it is in our best interest to give you the best options and advice that will provide you with value.
